The Link & Print tab within reservations is now the Event Linking tab. On the new and improved Event Linking tab you can do everything that you could previously do on the Link & Print tab and so much more! On the new Event Linking tab, you can assign tickets, passes, and activities to clients and the linking of clients to these events will also update what clients are associated with certain events in your reports. You can also the Event Linking tab to print tickets and wristbands just like you previously used the Link & Print tab.
So what specifically has changed?
Visual Changes
The name of the tab was previously called Link & Print and now it's called Event Linking
Clients are now listed on the left and events are listed on the right (previously it was the other way around but you provided feedback that having clients on the left would be more intuitive)
Filtering & Sorting Updates
Client filter options now include: clients who have events assigned to them vs clients who don't, clients 18+ or under 18, clients on the reservation who are marked as participating vs not participating (ex: a parent who signs a waiver for their child and not themselves would be considered a non participating client) and clients who have signed waivers vs who haven't signed waivers. These filters are sticker per user so if you only ever want to see clients who have waivers signed, for example, you can select that filter option and that filter will stay applied as you go between reservations and from one day to the next unless you change the filter.
Client sorting options now include: alphabetical sorting by first name, alphabetical sorting by last name, sorting by age, sorting by assignment status, or sorting by participating status.
Event filter options include: by event configuration name, by pricing rule name and by start time.
Event sorting options include: by event configuration name and by start time
Assigning Features
There are now three different ways that you can assign events to clients:
Click and drag
Click client and then click events
Auto Assign *Note: pricing rules are text fields so even if you have a pricing rule that's called "Youth (10-15)" the system doesn't actually know that only someone whose waiver indicates that they are between 10 and 15 years old should be assigned to that pricing rule so if you need to have specific pricing rules assigned to specific clients, we don't advise using auto assign.
There are two different ways to unassign events from clients:
Unassign All *Note: if you have a client filter applied when you select Unassign All, it'll only assign from clients displayed with your filter settings so if you have your clients filtered to only show clients who are 18+ and then click Unassign All, any events assigned to clients under 18 would remain assigned to those clients.
Click and drag individual events
Option to Limit One Event Type Assigned per Client
You can toggle this feature on and off if you want to prevent the same event at the same start time from being assigned to a client more than once. Without filter vs with filter:
Reporting Changes
Previously, linking events to clients didn't update what clients showed up on reports. Now, if you do use this tab and link events to clients, only those clients will show up on the Activity PDF report, the Daily Activity report, and the Client Participation report. If you don't link any events to clients on this tab, reporting for those events will remain unchanged and will show all clients on the reservation just as it did before.
What Hasn't Changed?
The ability to print tickets or wristbands hasn't changed. You can still print tickets and wristbands in bulk for the reservation, or by client. Printing for the reservation: Printing by client:
Tickets can also still be printed from the Tickets tab of the reservation
Ticket printing is still just for accounts using the Tickets feature while wristband printing is available to accounts using tickets, passes or activities
Additional client information (ex: email, phone, date of birth, and waiver name) can be seen by clicking the info icon next to a client name
