Flybook Cloud Print

Flybook has created its own cloud print option. Follow the steps below to get started:

Flybook Print Service Setup

  • Reach out to the Flybook Advisory team to arrange a time for them to remote into your computer (PCs only, no Macs or Chrome Books) to install the Print Service
  • IMPORTANT: The Flybook Print Service will find printers that are:
    - Connected to the same computer if the printer is using USB
Connected to the same network if the printer is using ethernet
This means that if you have multiple networks on-site, or if you have multiple printers connected over USB to different computers, you will have to install Flybook Print Service on multiple computers.
i.e each computer with a USB connection and at least one computer on a network with an Ethernet connection.
A printer can be detected by multiple computers, and will still work as intended. This means Flybook Print Service can be installed on as many computers as you wish.

Printer Setup

  1. After receiving your printer from Zebra, plug the power cable into the wall, and choose to connect with either Ethernet or USB. For instructions from Zebra on basic setup, see HERE
If setting up the printer with a USB, plug the printer into a computer that will be running the “FlybookPrintService”
If you do not have a computer nearby where you will be printing, you can use an Ethernet connection instead of a USB connection. Connect an ethernet cable to any Ethernet wall port that connects to the same network “FlybookPrintService” will be running on.
  2. Turn the printer on. The printer will run a self-test and printer configuration.
When the lights blink orange, insert the correct media cartridge with the appropriate type of Zebra wristband.
Once the lights are green, the printer is ready to print

Troubleshooting

If you receive the error message "The Given Key Was Not Present In The Dictionary" that means that Flybook can't find the printer on the network. To resolve this issue you'll want to restart the print service on the computer that's hooked up the printer.

1. On your computer, go to your Start Menu and start typing the word Services. For the Services app, select Run as Administrator. If you're not logged in as an admin on the computer you'll then be prompted to enter in the login info of an admin for that PC.

3. Once you've restarted the print service, you can close out of the Services app.

4. Wait a minute or two for the printer to come back online and then you can try printing again.

5. If you continue to receive this error message even after restarting the print service, please contact Flybook Advisory.
