Smart Terminal vs. Full Terminal: What's the Difference?

The Client Terminal is where guests will manage their reservations. They will gain access via the confirmation email, or they will be automatically routed to it after an online purchase. The default terminal will be assigned automatically to all reservations.  For more information on how to configure your terminal settings, CLICK HERE.

The Smart Terminal is a version of the client terminal that is designed to get the most information with the least amount of complexity for the guest.  Areas such as questions, waivers, and payments only show up if they are required.  The smart terminal does not require phone or email verification.  As a result, some information is redacted for privacy reasons.

To enable the Smart Terminal:

  1. Go to Setup > Web Integration
  2. Select Default Terminal
  3. Under Terminal Settings, select "Use Smart Terminal as Default."

Customers can still see their itinerary, make payments, fill out questions, and sign waivers in the Smart Terminal.  They cannot use the Talk to Staff or Self-Cancellation features.  To access these features, they must enter the full terminal with the phone or email verification steps.  This keeps control of the reservation in the hands of the lead client.

Below are screenshots from a sample reservation.  The first is a view of the Smart Terminal; note that the client's full name and answers to questions are redacted. The second is the Full Terminal.
